heard of SAUCE and if your from the northwest you most likely have held one at sum point along yer travels, be you found one rolled up under the bleachers at the Aumsville skatepark covered in dust or a issue tucked away inside Ratzmans soccer mom crv's glovebox, on the way home from a bender that started in portland and ended at rockaway beach. a video clip is done and a new one has no doubt followed. i, like everyone else loves watching skateboarding films but a still photo although silent, speaks a thousand more werds of the whole situation at hand. i don't feel i need to go into detail about what i mean and no doubt, i'm sure most people disagree with me on which one tells more of any given moment. maybe its cause i take pictures? o wait, i hold the other kind of camera to. this guy was no good. we went to the new La Conner skatepark today. there happens to be a nice ten stair in the adjacent parking lot. As you can see he wasn't to excited about a 25 year old tossing his carcass down the set. Anyways after that schpiel he let jihad go but as i packed up my cameras he approched me with pen a pad in hand and proceeded to hassell me and take my information, stating "i need to know how to contact you since you took my picture" blah, blah, blah. After name, adress, ect, he still felt the need to give me shit about my last name being 'Smith', as if i was giving him sum sort of allaby. After all this happened he parked his car and sat and stared us down at the park for maybe another hour and a half. boooooooooooooooooooo!

5 or 6 years ago, i busted my collar bone really really bad. The weather was just starting to get nice, i had recently lost the love of my life and i could no longer skate. I guess you could say i wasn't dealing with it very well as far as being constructive goes. During these doldrums however i started doing my first concrete pours. I would mix 2 bags of quickcrete at a time in a bucket and hurry them down to the park and ride by my house and lump them against the barriers one load at a time, mixing, pouring and trowling all with one wing in a sling. Well the product of maybe 5 of these solo missions can be seen on I-5 and Fairhaven parkway. I haven't skated it in maybe 3 years until yesterday and as you could imagine, it was a good ol time.

there is a skate jam/coal pad benefit at the bellingham skatepark. Come on out, show support for our scene, donate sum duckets towards a more than werthy cause and skate with all the homies. whos name i won't mention (although many of you could probably guess who it is) was saying how i'm a digital photo hoarder. Not quite sure what that's suppose to mean. you may remember about a month ago i put up a poll asking you, the reader who should get the next 'a afternoon at the park' edit with the options of the gingerturd, alex sandlin, seamus o'connor or a random visiting dirtbag. Well the you, people spoke and the results came in with readers wanting one of my visiting, piled out, hungover friends to be the star of the edit. Well you spoke and thats what you get. Only bonus is, its not at the park, its all filmed one afternoon at Western Washington Universitys campus (with the exception of a couple warm up tricks at the crapditch). that being said, a edit is in the werks. could be tonight, could be a week from tonight.

Cam Barrett. i go check this spot from time to time hoping for sumptin to skate. its a steel factory and they always have large sheets laying around in different configurations. sumtimes skateable, usually not. this day we never imagined we woulda found this crazy setup just like this. no way yer movin 1000 lb. sheets of metal. it took a special person to be able to skate this setup and cam was that guy. i got sum nice video and photo this day, still sittin doin nothin.

a friend of mine, jaime weller has a skateboard company goin and it's called USURPER. Jaime seems to no whats up and those are the type of people best suited for creating skateboarding endevours. the homie peter, from a post or two ago is aboard as well as Cam and sum other underground-ish types (always the best). Keep and eye out for these dirts and if you come across any of these fellas, buy em a beer-o. usurper has a blog.
