when a bunch of dudes that aren't from Bellingham go skating up here. Everything is new and everything is worth sessioning. This weekend i met up with basically the same crew as the weekend before to do more of the same. It was me, alex, sam, issac, seamus, nick, luke, riley, clam, macenzie, kevin and another guy whos name is slipping my memory. He was wearing a weed leaf costume for a bit. classic cabbage love. we hit up a bunch of spots, enduring cold, warm, then cold again. riley was busy filmin for his video, (psychoskate.blogspot.com) check it. At one point we were shooting some photos, out comes a dude from the adjacent building. shit, busted. but nope, we were invited into the warmth, were a circus act was at practice. whatever, heres some pics i took.

super creepy. Imagine having a nice picknick with your girl. Some cheese and crackers, fresh grapes, maybe some wine. Things are startin to really heat up and this fuckin thing comes trompin up outta the woods. sketch.
on the other hand, its probably gonna be the next super-soldier thats gonna tromp right into foreign lands and take care of foreign relations. sweet.
Last weekend i linked up with alex who had a couple friends in town sam and issac. They had been ripping up all the local crust havens in town. I tagged along with them filmed some shit and shot a couple photos of sam. Today sam sent me a link to the stuff they done shot and it rules. duh, dudes rip.
In this pic Sam pops a cracker schmacker switch heel flick while issac catches the action. Issac was nice enough to let me take another photo minus filmtown and sam also obliged with another make. yep.
on orcas, Matt Splatt did this gnarly ollie. It kinda started as a joke, with me asking if he'd ever skated down his hill. I brought out my filmer board with big soft kryptos and he started bombing it. All the sudden I thought it would be a good idea to assemble a ghetto sketch ball gap. I didn't really think he would try it but he did. he landed it after a handful of tries and this is the make!! Keep in mind this board is anything but easy to navigate. Loosest truck action ever. Yeah Splatt!

saw this on Thrashers website today. Guesse the the locals on Orcas Island are fed up with skate hag ways and are considering closing the park. Heres an excerpt from the local paper.
"At their regular meeting last Thursday, the Orcas Island School District (OISD) Board discussed the use of the skateboard park and approved an increased fee schedule for use by the public of OISD facilities.
Board member Scott Lancaster and members of the public expressed their concerns that adult behavior at the skatepark, including smoking, public consumption of alcohol and littering, were in violation of OISD rules and creating an unhealthy atmosphere for local youngsters who make use of the park.
In addition, OISD maintenance manager David Mierau said that the costs of maintaining sanicans and a dumpster at the Eastsound skatepark, are considerable. “Younger kids and parents have helped keep the park clean,” said Mierau, but with the park being well-known as the “best skate park on the west coast,” hundreds of off-island people may show up at the park, especially during the summer. Even during the school year, “There’s a lot of traffic and mess – booze and beer,” said Mierau.
The board will call a meeting with the community, including the Sheriff’s office and the Orcas Island Prevention Partnership to discuss the closing of the skate park and other options to address the situation. The board also discussed adding use of the skatepark to the rental fee schedule approved later in the meeting."
i called Forest to see what was up. He told me he was going to go ride the barrier spot. I wasn't really feelin it and passed on the idea, but as time passed I got tired of watching videos of Sarah Palin's stupidity and made my way up the street. As I emerged from the woods i saw this.
Manytrees was in full on wheel-chair shred mode. He straight up wheelied it to fakie, cross-grinded-chair slide it, and as you see here, one foot thousand island, no hander to revert. Once he saw me lurkin in the bushes snappin shots, he got kinda shy about his hidden talent, grabbed my board from me and returned his normal shred antics.
