my weekend.......

(mon, tues, wed) was a great one indeed. rode my skateboard all three dayz. manage to stack sum clipz with brick jordan and had a all around good time in the sun. heres sum photos from day 3 of my time away from werk.

dom and this crazy pcp'ed out cuban dude whos been lurkin around town. "show me da money, show me da money"!

iv'e watched dom sprout up from the littlest of little to a full blown later teen casual destroyer. he was always good. no he's just filling out porportionally in a lot of different ways. rad to see.

i just met this dude yesterday. his name is dale and he just moved here from pendleton oregon. guess he lives in the woods. the first impression i got off him was quickly demolished, when he finally hoped on board in went in to full on shred mode. Squirrel master Dale!!

being the gnarly..........

people we are, we have a granted tendency to be rough on our clothing. It's just our lifestylez and whether its the skateboarding we do or the way we make a living (4 me waiting tables and carpentry) were hard on our garments. Socks our no exception and for me its one of the most important articles of clothing to not have holes. Jeans, whatever, undies, i can live. But socks? a good hole gets pretty annoying. That being said, i was stoked when i came up on a few free pairs of these bad boys not to mention i've been wanting a pair since i saw them. Stance socks is a sock specific skateboard company and i'll say, there damn comfy. Not at all bulky, they breath well and were not soaked after a day of skating and heck, they come in a whole array of cool colorways and art colabs. I haven't had em long enough to test durability, but by the looks of the craftsmanship, they should hold up as a good sock is suppose to. Check a pair out if you got the fundz you'll be hyped.

p.s. i'm still backin gold toe brand fer life, but ya gotta give the shout out to the free goodies.

b.j. would be the first.......

to admit this, so i don't mind saying it. But everytime he comes to visit and supposedly skate?, he get's to hammered the night before and can't do anything past picking up the bong. Well he came to town again yesterday and skated campus like the young veteran he is. He stacked a good amount of tricks in a mere hour. Thanks for keeping it together Brick. you re-installed my faith in you.

edit soon. i'd post one now but were headed out again in a few so hopefully sum more stackage.

rad thing about summer.........

people start feeling like making the trip to bellingham is werth while. Early this morning is was greeted by a car full of radness. Jihad, b.j., alex and kyle showed up. We made our way to the park and sessioned for a few hours waiting for a few more carloads to appear, all on their way to skate the kendall pool. What?? more homies! next thing you know michah, s-dog, brice and sum peeps from santa cruz rolled up, not to mention ryan and danny were lurkin around as usual. Gotta say. Bellingham park is super stale and today, although nothing outta da ordinary happened, it was refreshing being there. i mean shit, a bunch of rad friends from outta town, the first really nice day and our skateboards. Plus i like skating with all these folks. Well actually i like skating with everyone. wait, check.. there is one person that always brings down my skate experience. anyways, i hadda go to werk. i'm sure those guys had a rad session and that's another story for them to tell you another time. I'll post a few clips from the park today soon.

i can't really call this........

the carlsbad gap of house gapz. why because it's not big enough. And of all the skateboard videos i have watched and the countless amounts of 'famous' gapz i've seen, nothing can quite compare. I guess i miss leon and thats why this picture and post are gracing the interweb. Maybe 6 years ago now though, after a mellow couple beers, we were on the roof. thats when i suggested he attempt the gap. When i say 'mellow' it was far from and after a little cohersing, mr. fire went for it. Boom! stomped it like pat channita in the 'revolution' all over carlzbad.

i listen to so much.........

music and i always have. it's probably one of the most important things to me in life, as every song links to a memory good and bad. Makes the werld go round for sure. I could however, never claim a all time favorite band. Devo however is defenintly top three in my book. I'm not sure if there is anything better to skate to. In fact there isn't. Anyways, this songs been stuck in my head all day. best thing ohio ever gave us. except for maybe neil johnson.

i love taking pictures......

of anything. Well almost anything. In fact i was approached the other day about shooting photos for MMA fights. Ughhhhhhh........ Documenting over testozteroned males pounding eachothers lights around and about? no thanks. Anyways, here are sum photos I shot the other day of the food from the restaurant at which i wait tables, The Fork at Agate Bay. Do yerself a favor and jump right into the hodgepodge of delicious bites the place has to over. It's honestly top notch with a chillen vibe dressed to the nine or rollin carhartts. Good good stuffz. Have a peak for yerself then come join me and the rest of the fam.

Its always fun and challenging shooting new things. Messin with depth o field and such, atempting to create a photo like you always seen in Wine Spectator and dem other food mags. Can't say these compare, but it's nice to come out with a finished product yer pleased with and feel represents a couple(john and Gina Russell) doin a dang good thing for the town of Bellingham.

the weather has finally turned. 3 sunny daze in a row? should be the norm but not this year. We were out skatin the last few so after i log there will be sum footage of my own. Phee is visiting. Sorcery Sam was up yesterday. Can't say we have been stackin any clips really but sum fun has been had for sure. On that note and sunny weather, i think it's time to add Puerto Rico to my list of to-do's. If this clip don't make ya wanna travel and skate, i don't know what will.

hi, my name is may.......

may has been to put in frankly, pretty darn crappy. not just the undaunting wet weather that continues to haunt us, but certain circumstances in general. its time for a change. you know when yer one of those optimists only to be reminded why you have skepticism in the first? thatz how stuffz feel. on the brighter side of may comes a reminder from sum of these here pictures.

were only eleven dayz into the month and it feelz like itz almost done. well at this rate, it practically is. the pipe photos will have there own post in the near, with video to accompany. it was one of the funnest dayz iv'e had in great while. swamp trudge, swamp trudge.
