AND DON'T FORGET.........

this sunday is the skatejam and coal pad benefit at the bellingham skaeboard crapditch.  I think everything starts at 10 a.m. if you plan on registering and whatnot for the competition side of things.  Personally....... i wouldn't bother.  ive already paid off the judges in weed cookies, so i'm a sure fire shu-in for first place.  see you there.

.

so i aquired my first........

digital point-and-shoot.  After sum forgetful human left it at my place of werk and after an appropriate waiting time for that human to claim their device, i became the new father.  I have only used it one day but its pretty rad.  why?  you could care less about what you shoot and the little bugger takes HD video.  Did i mention it has a Carl Zeiss lens (for you camera turdz).  Anyways i'm happy to add another soul stealer to my arsenal.  Get ready for a whole lot of meaningless/skilless digital crap.  enjoy.

started the day off with sum bass fishin with ryan.

one hell of a co-werker, paul davis.

mr. fuckin cool and casual.

cameras got a pano-function.  why not?

this spot at the park gets more action these days than any of the cement.

me and seamus were sittin on the coping.  next thing i know this is his scenario?

"gotta do what ya gotta do"

after the park it was off to my house for grillinz and horeshoes.

probably........

5 or 6 years ago, i busted my collar bone really really bad.  The weather was just starting to get nice, i had recently lost the love of my life and i could no longer skate.  I guess you could say i wasn't dealing with it very well as far as being constructive goes.  During these doldrums however i started doing my first concrete pours.  I would mix 2 bags of quickcrete at a time in a bucket and hurry them down to the park and ride by my house and lump them against the barriers one load at a time, mixing, pouring and trowling all with one wing in a sling.  Well the product of maybe 5 of these solo missions can be seen on I-5 and Fairhaven parkway.  I haven't skated it in maybe 3 years until yesterday and as you could imagine, it was a good ol time.

here is a photlage from the day with me, bj. and zac (thanks for resurfacing the idea)

Sunday, August 21st..............

there is a skate jam/coal pad benefit at the bellingham skatepark.  Come on out, show support for our scene, donate sum duckets towards a more than werthy cause and skate with all the homies.  If you live in town i'm sure i'll see you there and to all the homies from down south or wherever, make the trip up.  it'll be a great time and i got a backyard/house for sum peeps to crash at.  we'll do a bbq at my house that night and keep the fun times a rollin.  See you then........

look at the fun to be had.  Ditch session, bowl jam, kickflip challenge, best trick, free food and prizes!

the first Happy Medium........

video was amazing.  I just watched most of Happy Medium 2 on youtube in it falls to short.  John Motta is one of my favorite skaters.  Dude goes out and creates.  Here's his part and i suggest browsing the tube for the rest of the parts all werth a viewing.  Motta!!!

sumone.........

whos name i won't mention (although many of you could probably guess who it is) was saying how i'm a digital photo hoarder.  Not quite sure what that's suppose to mean.  I can't imagine what i would be 'considered' if i didn't have a blog and wasn't posting up the amount of photos i do on here.  Anyways, if i'm a 'digital photo hoarder', i guess i'm a film photo hoarder as well.

heres a couple film scans of the tortillas pal, mathew french taken maybe 8 or so years ago.

taken with a mamiya RB-67.  never shoulda sold that camera.

early grab yank of the wall.  Canon A2.

a afternoon skateboarding with ???????................

you may remember about a month ago i put up a poll asking you, the reader who should get the next 'a afternoon at the park'  edit with the options of the gingerturd, alex sandlin, seamus o'connor or a random visiting dirtbag.  Well the you, people spoke and the results came in with readers wanting one of my visiting, piled out, hungover friends to be the star of the edit.  Well you spoke and thats what you get.  Only bonus is, its not at the park, its all filmed one afternoon at Western Washington Universitys campus (with the exception of a couple warm up tricks at the crapditch).  that being said, a edit is in the werks.  could be tonight, could be a week from tonight.

ladied and gentleman;  the dirt.

dudes obviously down.

miss this guy a ton.  Mr. Kyle Gabouer.  tight azz homie he is.

jihad.  another now defunct bellingham spot.

Cam Barrett.  i go check this spot from time to time hoping for sumptin to skate.  its a steel factory and they always have large sheets laying around in different configurations.  sumtimes skateable, usually not.  this day we never imagined we woulda found this crazy setup just like this.  no way yer movin 1000 lb. sheets of metal.  it took a special person to be able to skate this setup and cam was that guy.  i got sum nice video and photo this day, still sittin doin nothin.

same spot.  the mr. does what he does, while we do what we do.
