Maggie and I went on an extended vacation to celebrate our one-year anniversary since we did not have a honeymoon. We spent 4 days in San Francisco and 5 days in New York City. Hanging out with friends and family, seeing the sights, and relaxing,

Here is the view of SF and the Bay Bridge from Suasilito (home of John Steinbeck).

This is Spenger's Fish Grotto in Berkeley. My parents used to come here for dates. RIP mom and dad.

The view off the deck of a little bistro in Mill Valley. Maggie and I spent our first year anniversary here.

The Muir Woods. Maggie and I went on a little hike here and drove around the craziest curved roads to get there.

Maggie above the Golden Gate Bridge. She hates having her photo taken.

All around the Golden Gate Bridge and the Bay area are a bunch of de-commissioned forts. Here is a look inside a bunker. Look how the door frames the window and the ground behind it.

We went to go get some picturesque views of the Golden Gate, but were met with fog. Go figure.

Maggie at Union Square. She actually likes this photo, and so do I.

Poseidon?

Hancock Building from Chinatown.

This was part of a funeral march. Apparently, if you are a notable figure in the Chinese community, the city allows these elaborate funeral marches in your former neighborhood. There was also a marching band playing a slow, sad song.

I wonder what this says, because the English above makes no sense.

The Bay Bridge.

SF Chinatown.

My auntie loves these flat, fortune-cookie style treats you can get from this place. I bought her 3 bags.

I'm thinking of placing these signs all around the edge of the kiddie pool at the Bellingham Skatepark. "Coming in!"

Chinatown Alleyways. There is alot going on here.
Off to NYC.

We stayed in the Greenpointe / Williamsburg area with two of my favorite people in the world. Thanks Tasha and Cailen.

There are watertowers all over NYC, but I liked this one because it had a little flavor to it.

My friend Steve would call this place a "Murder-Mart" because they're always getting held up, but this one has a good-looking, old-school type awning.

Subway-Queens. This place smelled like death and corn nuts.

An amazing awning from the back deck of a Brooklyn Deli.

The Financial District from the Brooklyn Bridge.

Brooklyn Bridge at the golden hour.

The Manhattan Bridge. Under the bridge on the left is a skatepark. Its legoland style, but fun nonetheless.

Teddy Roosevelt holding down the Museum of Natural History.

An interesting lightpost outside the Museum.
Here are some photos from the inside:

I like these guys. Endangered species.

I doubt this guy comes to life at night.

Peep the antlers.

Dead.

This guy chases me in my dreams.

Kiddie skeleton. Pretty sure this one is real and not plaster.

Walked through the Strawberry Fields. We also saw this musical / movie with nothing but Beatles music. Kinda cool.

Advertising in the skies.

This is the bridge that I purposed to Maggie on in January 2005. She said "yes," as you can imagine.

This is the oldest continually operating bar in the U.S. The floor is covered with sawdust and it smells like stale beer. When you order they give you 2 beers at once, and they have this rule, if you aren't drinking, then you're leaving.

A light fixture from inside the NYC Public Library. For those of you that don't know, I plan on going back to school to become a librarian. This place was definately inspiring.
That's it. Back to B-ham and the real world.
