short dreams
last night i had the good fortune of dreaming i was hanging out with these guys.
pretty rad, friendly and hospitable they are. But have you ever heard the urban myth of the actor/dwarf who didn't get the part as the lollypop dude and killed himself on the set........

Chicago Photos
Ya'll might remember I went to Chicago in May. Well I finally developed and scanned my 35mm photos. Here is a taste.
Sea-Tac, prior to departure.
Chicago Subways.
My brother in law got married, and one of the things the groomsmen did before the wedding was a boat tour through Chicago. This place has so many bridges, and the architecture is amazing. This parking garage was my favorite structure.
I also got to spend some time with one of my best friends, Dan Pon. He is a great fellow; always down for a BBQ, a skate session, or a new adventure. Plus, this guy always has a good story to tell.
"I caught a fish this big."
Dan and I climbed atop an old elevated train track and walked part of it through the city. It was fun to be about 30 feet above the ground. It gives you a new perspective on how things look. We even found a good wall ride spot and a curved ledge from here. The only trouble was getting back down, but we lucked out at this apartment building.
Chicago has one of two free zoos in the country. It was a bittersweet visit to say the least.
This is Owen James. An aspiring photographer.
Dan and I hit an amazing fruit and vegetable market. Too bad I had B&W in my camera. Bell Peppers.
Tomatoes.
This place is no small feat to skate, and some gnarly stuff has gone down here. Dan and I just cruised around on it for a bit.

July 4th
Kyle, Emily, Maggie, and I spent the 4th of July together. We had Cuban Pizzas over at my house and then headed to Kyle and Emily's to watch the fireworks. Here are a few snap shots:
Maggie enjoys a Sparkler.
Emily is hypnotized.
Kyle is too cool for school.
More fireworks on the rooftop.
Up Close.
The Bulb function really is quite neat. One minute on the roof top.

City by the Bay.
I just returned from a much needed vacation to the Bay Area/San Francisco. I headed out on saturday the 14th with an early flight from bellingham to seattle, seattle to san francisco.
exit row is the best. leg room galore. Had the whold isle to my self. first class-second class.
view of Mt. Ranier from the plane is pretty rad. Just wait till this thing blows. kaplooee!
Got to Sf where my brother picked me up. Hes here visiting from ann arbor michigan.
mi madre.
One of the radest parts of this trip was the vehichles I was rolling around in for the week. dopey.
1980, seafoam green benz.
caddy, no big dealy-O.
Off to Sunnyvale skatepark for some shred.
probably the best of the real skateparks I visited. You have all seen this one in skatemedia. saw big joe red and nestor. fun spot, cool locals.
redwood.
my brother is very musically inclined.
spent some time in the city
street of prada
stumbled upon some of ansels work. dude is the man.
and into chinatown.
found a exotic pet store. all sorts of blackmarket type fish, lizards in this joint. pretty rad/sad,
one of the many famous sf skatespots you stumble upon. Watch julian strangers line here in fucktards! insane.
best phone booth ever.
the buddha.
down to the wharf.
found this spot with all these weird old carnival game type things. pretty creepy really.
